Pixel operations

Crop, resample, flip, rotate, or bake W/L into a derived copy.

Applies a geometry or intensity transform directly to the decoded pixel data and writes the result as a derived copy with a freshly minted SOPInstanceUID, preserving the original instance.

• Crop — extract a rectangular ROI; shifts Image Position (Patient) so spatial coordinates stay correct.
• Resample — bilinear resize to a new matrix; rescales Pixel Spacing inversely.
• Bake W/L — collapse the windowed range into 8-bit MONOCHROME2 and strip rescale/VOI tags.
• Flip / Rotate — mirror or rotate 90° in-plane.

  Caution Pixel transforms are destructive to the derived copy. Bake W/L in particular discards dynamic range and is intended for publication exports only. Tip Single-frame instances only. Multi-frame and colour-windowing cases are guarded out.
