Mode switch (View / Edit / Anon)

Choose the workspace mode: View for inspection, Edit for tag changes, Anon to enter the anonymization workflow.

The mode switch determines what dcmage shows you and what actions are available across all panels.

Modes

• View — read-only inspection. The tag tree is visible, but write actions are hidden.
• Edit — enables tag value edits, add-tag, delete-tag, and the diff/export flow.
• Anon — opens the Anonymize screen with profiles, rule tree, and burned-in PHI redaction tools.

  Tip The mode is persistent — re-opening dcmage restores the last mode you used.
