RTPLAN parameter

Inspect and correct parameters within an RT Plan object.

Problem

An RT Plan (RTPLAN) object has an incorrect or non-standard RT Plan Label (300A,0002) — the treatment plan name doesn’t match your institution’s naming convention. You need to rename the plan via the DICOM tag editor (this is metadata editing only; plan parameter recomputation is out of scope).

Steps

1. Open the RTPLAN DICOM file (⌘O) — e.g. rtplan.dcm.

2. Switch to Edit mode (⌘3) and filter for (300A,0002) (RT Plan Label).

3. Edit the label — double-click, enter the new plan name (e.g. EDITED_PLAN), and save.

4. Verify — the row is gold-highlighted and the new label is displayed.

Expected Result

• RT Plan Label displays the edited value with gold highlighting.
• The edit is tracked by the dirty counter and is undoable.
• Other plan parameters (beam geometries, dose references) are untouched — this is a metadata label edit only.
• The LO VR enforces a 64-character maximum. Longer values are rejected.
