Auto head defacing

Propose redaction regions over the face and ears for CT/MR head scans.

Automatically segments and masks facial features (face, left ear, right ear) on CT or MR head scans using a dynamic intensity threshold and Patient Orientation metadata to determine anterior/lateral directions.

Tip Defaced regions appear in the redaction list like hand-drawn ones — review and delete any false positives before exporting. Auto-defacing helps prevent 3D skull reconstruction of the patient’s face from volumetric data.
