Cine playback
Play the frames of a multi-frame series as a loop, at the stored frame rate or faster or slower.
Browser: available nowmacOS app: 1.4.0 or newer
A series with two or more frames, such as an ultrasound or angiography loop, shows cine controls at the left of the frame strip.
- Play / Pause starts and stops playback. After the last frame, playback continues from the first.
- Speed sets the rate as a multiple of the stored frame rate: 0.25×, 0.5×, 1×, 2× or 4×.
- The number next to the speed is the rate in frames per second. Point at it to see where the stored rate comes from.
The stored rate is read from the file in this order: Recommended Display Frame Rate (0008,2144), Cine Rate (0018,0040), then Frame Time (0018,1063). A file with none of them plays at 10 frames per second. Playback runs between 1 and 60 frames per second.
With Sync Scroll on, the other tiles follow the playing tile frame by frame.
Playback stops when you pause it, click another tile, pick another series, change the layout, or switch to 3D MPR or the volume render. A single-frame image has no cine controls.
